Megan I went there once. We took a tour bus you could get on and off of all over the city...then my parents argued about it the whole time and we got back to the start without ever getting off. Don't do that. The rest of the trip was overshadowed by an amazing drive to Maine. The only advice I could give is eat lots and lots and lots of lobster. It's so cheap over there and it'll never be the same after.
Well, this isn't helpful, but you really need to see everything. I love Boston. It's such a fabulous city. You'll never get bored. Have a great time!
Have SO SO SO much fun! Can't wait to hear about it.
Hey I know you are out of town...but when you get back I was wondering if you could tell me who you use to move and tune your piano. I am in need and Doug tells me you guys get it professionally done a lot - every time you move! Thanks! :)
Been there, done that. You NEED to do the freedom trail cause everyone that goes to Boston has to do it :) It has the most bang for your buck in terms of history and sight seeing (its free, just walking). I love to go to the Cheesecake factory in the Prudential center, walk around the public gardens and Boston commons. One of my favorite things is walking and driving along the Charles River, I love it!!!! We went to Marblehead once and it was incredible. Since I know that you love classic english novels, you should visit Concord and see the house of some authors like Louisa May Alcott. Harvard Square is another great corner and provides street entertainment, shops and some great places to eat. Visit the temple also cause it is beautiful!! My wife really liked to go to the bay and take some tea packets and then throw them in the ocean and have a Boston Tea Party. The North end, which is the italian district and is where the house of paul revere is, is fantastic. Mike's pastry is the best ever! I have lots of suggestions. If you need anymore or have any questions, text me. I'd be more than happy to help you love Boston like we do!!!! Have fun!!!
Call me when you get back i had no idea that you were leaving hope it was fun.
