Lunch Breaks

This is what I've been doing on my lunch breaks recently. I heart sewing. It is so much fun. I made the first bag from a pattern found in Lotta Jansdotter book (see list of Talented People) and the second one I found from a link called madebyrae.blogspot.com which I found through Little Cumulus (thanks A!). The second bag was made by me and my sister Lexy. She picked the fabric and it is SO her. I think they turned out pretty cute. I've made two other bags, one set of placemats, and one set of coasters...but I gave them away before I took pictures. Maybe...if those people read my blog...they could send me a picture of them? I also made a miniature quilt and pillow for a fairy garden, but that is a post for another day.

So cute! Is there anything you can't do? You are very talented. I am working on sewing curtains for our home, but it's slow going. It seems I only have a couple hour everyday (naptime) and with all the cutting and ironing, I haven't hardly been at the machine yet, but I am excited to finish a project. It's been a long time.

I am beyond impressed with your many abilities. You are one talented girl! I couldn't even sew a button on a shirt. It's so sad. I think you should make us all bags for Christmas! ha

Thank you for helping me make that bag and for encouraging me to do it myself. I am glad you support my style. I love you very much. Oh ya, I enlarged the pattern and I am going to try to make a larger bag. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Wow, Meg! You got talent, home slice. I kinda sensed it back at Granite when you made all those super cool posters to hang in the hallway. :]

Megan, I love your bags. I will buy 50. Or you can make me 50 for free. Either way, 50. Pronto. And one day you should rule the world.
